Last weekend I was trying to declutter one of my social media accounts and ended up going down a rabbit hole, as I scrolled through the list of people and pages I follow, I kept finding names that didn’t ring a bell at all, some were probably recommended profiles, others might have come from a post I liked months ago, but I honestly couldn’t remember, that’s what made me think about recently-followed and how useful it would be to have a clearer picture of recent activity instead of guessing, the amount of content we consume every day is huge, so it’s not surprising that small actions get forgotten, still, I’m curious whether other people review their follow history from time to time or if most just leave it alone and move on.

Sudden habit I didn’t expect was noticing how quickly my social feed shifts when I’m not paying attention, especially during late evening scrolling when everything feels slower than it actually is, I was comparing a few account changes while going through recently-followed and realized how often things shift without any obvious signal, which made me look at my social activity differently, since then I’ve been paying more attention to these small changes during daily browsing something I usually overlook in everyday scrolling.
