The Circle advocates to reduce barriers for individuals and families by identifying their needs and making them feel welcome and connected so they are able to participate fully in their communities.

COMMUNITY NAVIGATION

We welcome individuals and families new to the country, as well as those who are already established in the community. Collaborating together, we provide personal support and identify their needs. We present available resources and services, and according to their needs we provide walk-along service or a referral to community resources and services, and guide them through processes. We offer help to find rental assistance, counseling, insurance, tax preparation, legal services, domestic violence or senior aid, among others. We are also a source for emergent help when necessary.

EVENTS

We support and create events open and free to all, to come together as a community to learn, celebrate and understand each other's diversity.

Our Inclusive Circle offers monthly meetings where children and teens with special needs participate in art and music. Our Latino Circle offers a Children’s Day event, Day of the Dead Celebration and a Winter Event for seniors. The Giving Circle is a program where we collect donated clothing, furniture, and household items for neighbors in need. This year, we also held an Eid-al-Fitr event for our Muslim community to celebrate the end of Ramadan. Cultural workshops are held throughout the year, and we will continue to bridge cultures and communities together by providing opportunities to celebrate our diversity.

EDUCATION

We provide free learning opportunities tailored to the needs of individuals and families to gain skills and knowledge to help them become active participants in their communities. We offer English classes at our offices, as well as informative sessions and workshops to teach families digital literacy, how to buy a house, how to start a business, etc.
