About the event

Join us for an exciting workshop to craft an “Alaja” bracelet, a cherished Turkmen amulet thought to guard against the evil eye! In Turkmen culture, these bracelets are traditionally handwoven from camel wool, often created for children but also worn by adults to celebrate milestones like a new home, car, or marriage—or simply as a protective talisman. Meaning “striped white and black” in its direct translation, Alaja can also shine with vivid colors. Come weave this unique treasure with us and dive into the rich traditions of Turkmen heritage!

When: Wednesday, April 2nd from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Where: 160 NW Gilman Blvd Suite 326, Issaquah, WA 98027

Who can participate: This a Familiar or single person workshop
