Navigating various transitions like moving into a new school district or shifting from elementary to middle school to high school, and eventually toward life beyond graduation can be both exciting and overwhelming—for students and parents.
Issaquah PTSA Council partners with the Circle and PEPS to provide this Parent Education event. This 90-minute interactive workshop helps parents understand what to expect at each stage. We’ll cover changing school expectations, parent–school partnerships, and strategies to stay engaged, support independence, confidence, and success, with special guidance for international families navigating a new academic culture.
Speaker Bio:
Dr. Swarnima Aswinkumar began her career in Materials Science and Engineering before moving into the non-profit Family and Community Engagement space when her child entered elementary school in 2012.
