These classes are specifically designed for children in Kindergarten and 1st Grade who have Mandarin as part of their lives, whether they speak Mandarin themselves, hear it at home, or have family members who speak Mandarin.

The Circle is excited to offer a free, in-person Chinese Mandarin class for children in Kindergarten and 1st Grade.
This structured, entry-level program will be taught by a teacher from GE Chinese School and will use the 马立平中文 curriculum to introduce young learners to Mandarin in an engaging and supportive classroom environment. Students will build early listening and speaking confidence while developing foundational vocabulary, pronunciation, character recognition, and early literacy skills.
Through weekly classes, children will participate in interactive activities such as songs, stories, games, classroom routines, cultural activities, and hands-on learning experiences. The program also encourages regular attendance, positive classroom participation, and consistent learning habits.
This class is a welcoming first step for children to explore Chinese language and culture while building curiosity, confidence, and interest in continued language learning.
