Chinese Lacquer Fan Painting Workshop [English]

This workshop will be led by Zhu Run, a Master of Psychology from Peking University, a Certified Teacher in Washington State, and the City of Bellevue Cultural Outreach Assistant. She has been learning calligraphy and Chinese painting since childhood. She is good at combining art, psychology, and education. Lacquer Fan Painting is recognized as an innovative form of lacquer craftsmanship, an important part of China's intangible cultural heritage. Lacquer, a natural resin extracted from lacquer trees, has been used in China for thousands of years, making it the earliest known country to utilize this material.
